Seccagrande’s beach
A few minutes from the B &B Casa degli Ulivi Ribera is located the Seccagrande’s beach, one of the seaside resorts most frequented by locals. The name is conferred because of its portion of the beach, forming an arc protruding into the sea, ending in a large dry with numerous cliffs. Seccagrande is ideal for those who love pristine beach but still want have fun: on the waterfront in fact you will find several bars, pubs, restaurants to eat fresh fish and pizza. During the summer many cultural events are organised to brighten up the evenings, but the most suggestive moment is related to the night of "Ferragosto", when you can enjoy bonfires between the 14 th of August and the night of the 15 th of August.

But Seccagrande does not stop with the end of summer! Throughout the year the coast continues to be the meeting point for youth, thanks to its many bars and restaurants. In September you can enjoy the Pizzafest, an event that attracts many tourists, where you will taste different varieties of pizza, all rigorously baked in rock ovens with wood. The event will also be enhanced by live music and theater.
Borgo Bonsignore
A small fraction of Ribera built during Fascism, Borgo Bonsignore is a township not far from B&B Casa degli Ulivi Ribera. In Borgo Bonsignore you can find sandy beaches, with adjacent free parking in the shade of a pine forest. From the town by car , or walking by the beach, you can reach the Natural Reserve "mouth of "River Platani”. This paradise on Earth, with its reach forest ends up on a pristine and uncontaminated sand beach with crystal clear water, è stato UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In site you will fin a picnic area where you can relax in the shade of eucalyptus trees, before taking a dip in the crystal sea. If you like to stroll reach Cape Blanc (Capo Bianco), a magnificent cliff , una magnifica scogliera a picco sul mare. The more adventurous ((and experts) ), can also reach , from Borgo Bonsignore, the beach of fallen stones (Pietre Cadute) . These are small bays created by huge rocks "fallen " into the sea, we recommend some good non-slip shoes, because you can reach them only through a steep and dangerous descent.
Piana Grande
Close to Seccagrande,the holiday destination of Piana Grande is at just 5 minutes driving from the B&B Casa degli Ulivi Ribera.This feature beach, consisting of sand mixed with stones, it is more pristine than Seccagrande. However, Piana Grande is served by the catering summer kiosks, very busy in the evening when the beach is alive with young people , dancing and having fun, above all during the "Ferragosto" night (the 14 th of August).

San Giorgio
In the beach of San Giorgio is located at only 10 minutes driving from the B&B Casa degli Ulivi Ribera. Many are the tiny streets which go down to the beaches, These are clean, with fine sand and crystalline water. The beach is uncontaminated and does not offer any service, After a day of sunbathing we suggest you to go and have dinner to one of the many restaurants in Seccagrande . There you can have pizza , as our famous “tabisca”, or a magnificent fish dinner.
